Are you interested in a one-day-per-week paid research internship?
LJMU are looking for people who are interested in addressing inequalities among Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, Showmen and Boater communities. Specifically, we are interested in understanding cancer inequalities and outcomes.
The National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaboration Northwest Coast (NIHR ARC NWC) allows individuals to undertake small research projects under the supervision of experienced researchers. Any research idea must also align with an intern’s organisation’s priorities. An internship involves being released from the workplace for up to a day a week to carry out a small research project for up to a year. Prior formal research training is not a prerequisite to application as individuals at all levels will be considered and training will be provided.
To be eligible you must:
- Be employed in an organisation that is a member of NIHR ARC NWC
- Preferably be a member of the GTRSB community. However, more essential is the interest in these communities
- Able to have one day per week to work on this project
At this stage, we are looking for interested interns and organisation’s whom we can support in the application process.
