Dr Nicola Hay is a Lecturer in Social Studies, in the School of Education at the University of the West of Scotland Paisley. She has published on racist bullying and supported a campaign to include Roma in the Scottish Census.
She is currently exploring Roma, Gypsy and Traveller perceptions of career guidance and employability in university along with Prof. Colin Clark.
She is looking to speak to Roma, Gypsy and Traveller people who are currently attending or have attended university in the United Kingdom to hear about their experiences.
Research participants can take part in one-to-one or group interviews, whatever feels most comfortable for them.
She also wants to learn about indigenous employment and job advice passed down from parents and grandparents and learn about the cultural teachings that mean the most to community members.
